Dawn Yamane

Dawn Pauline Yamane was born September 2, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Howard and Louisa (Johnson) Pederson.

She was an animal lover and enjoyed her cats. She liked listening to country music with a nice hot cup of coffee. Two of her simple pleasures were chocolate ice cream and mashed potatoes. She was last employed by Pasadena City College as a secretary.

Dawn passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at University Park Nursing and Rehab in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 78.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Kvederis; son, Erik Yamane; two grandchildren, Dashel and Matilda; cousin, Cliff Ratson; and friends and guardians, Mary and Kevin Tew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Keith Yamane.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at University Park Nursing and Rehab, 233 University Ave, Des Moines.
