Thong Van Lo

Thong Van Lo, 80, passed away at the Rehab Center of Des Moines on Tuesday, February 11, 2014.

Thong was born December 5, 1933 in Phong Tho, Vietnam, the son of Ui Van Lo and Gion Thi Lo. He and his family have been residents of the Des Moines area for the past twenty years. Thong loved his family very much. He enjoyed traveling and listening to Gospel music. He was a dedicated Christian and a member of Capitol Hill Lutheran Church. Thong was a member of the Vietnamese Elder Association and the Vietnamese Veterans Association.

He is survived by his wife, Chuong Dieu; sons: Trinh, Vinh, Mi, and Tui; daughters, Bun Kim and Neng; fifteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will occur at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15 in the Tai Dam section of Glendale Cemetery.
