Service Details
Rodney Earl Jordan, 55, passed away on February 9, 2014. Services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 12:30 pm at Eternity Church, 2000 NW 100th St in Clive, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
Rodney was born on February 8, 1959 to Ronald and Cleota Jordan. He grew up in Norwalk and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his sons, Travis and Nick Jordan; siblings, Jean Anne (Rich) Johnson and Rhonda Bloss; the mother of his children, Mindy Jordan; his aunt, NaDean Taylor; and uncle, Jim (Donna) Taylor; and many loving friends.

I wish I could be there to express my sympathy for the loss of my dear friend, Rod., but since I can't I will have to express my sorrow on here. Rod was a very dear friend to me and many others that shared our childhood with, I will never forget his kind smile and the friendship he shared with so many people in our life. Love ya Rod May your family find the strength to get through these tough days...

Rhonda, to you and Rod's boys and family I am so sorry to hear about Rod. Back in the day when I lived there he was always so kind. Lisa, Rod and I had some fun together, my prayers to all of you.

To my beloved Grandsons my caring daughter Mindy, Jeanne, Rhonda and the Jordan family Becky and I want to express our sympathy for the passing of Rod. We pray for your peace and comfort.
Rod I will miss you and your subtle
little remarks when we would be on
a job or at the fair. I thought it was
funny when you would drive the
sweeper up into the crowd of drunks
spraying them with water and dust
in attempt to herd them out of the
gates so we could get done and go
home. That would have become an
annual event if not for the liability.
We had some great laughs
over the years but the greatest joy
that your could ever bring to me
and my family is the gift of my grandsons Travis and Nick. I know
that you love those two as much as
they love you. I know that you will be
greeted by your loving Mother and
Father two other dear friends that you brought into my life and the
Father Almighty. Keep the sweeper
warmed up and full of water
because we will see you someday
again. Rest in Eternal Peace my Friend.

It was fun watching Rod grow up when I was a resident at the Jordan house (Jeanne and I were inseparable in HS). I am sure that his Mom and Dad are happy to have him home, but he will be missed by all he left behind.
