Lois Ackelson

On January 31, 2014, Lois Ackelson went home to be with the Lord, with her loving family at her side. Lois was born on March 25, 1927.

Lois dearly loved her husband and family and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed gardening and taught her husband everything he knew. Together they loved to sit on the swing outside and watch the birds. She also enjoyed fishing, canning, puzzling and was a wonderful cook, always baking goodies for her family. Lois helped raise her grandsons and a black lab, Susie, providing them a loving home. We are thankful for the wonderful memories and she will always have a special place in our hearts.

Lois is survived by her husband, Roy Sr.; sons, Roy Ackelson Jr. (Pam) and Jack Ackelson (Kathy); grandchildren: Aaron Ackelson (Dionne), Justin Ackelson (Michelle),
Jennifer Ehresman (Jeff), Amanda McClanahan (Ryan), Melanie Bieker (Tim) and
Kendall Stewardson (Joshua); great-grandchildren, Shane Ackelson, Jake Ackelson,
Wes Ackelson, Drew Ackelson, Dylan Ackelson, Jordyn Ehresman, Isabella Bieker,
Chloe McClanahan, Judah Stewardson and Asher Stewardson.

Per her wishes, Lois has been cremated and no services will be held. Hamilton’s Funeral Home has assisted the family.
