Clifford Lester

Clifford Lester, 56, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Iowa Methodist Hospital.

Clifford was born June 4, 1957 in Des Moines to Marian and Frank Lester II. Family meant everything to him. He enjoyed many outings and day trips with his wife and girls to parks around the area. Clifford liked being outdoors in nature and appreciated flowers and landscaping. He worked as a cosmetologist for 30 years prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his daughters, Alesha (Michael) Givens and Nadalie (Andrew) Forcht; granddaughters, Ryan and Bailey Forcht; former wife and mother of his children, Debbie Lester; siblings: Francis, Helen, Gerald, Carroll, Larry, Frank III, Robert, Richard, and Vernon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Des Moines Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2317 Watrous Avenue with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
