Jean Wise

Jean (Chapman) Wise, 90, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Senior Suites of Urbandale where she had lived for a short time. She was a lifetime resident of the Altoona Community.
A Visitation and Commemorative Gathering will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home , 605 Lyon St. Des Moines from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 where the family will greet friends. Mrs Wise has been cremated.
Jean Wise is the widow of Leslie (Sam) Wise who was a councilman, mayor and long time political leader in Altoona. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1991 and her son, Steven in 1999.
She is survived by her son, Ted E. (Gail) Wise of Urbandale and two grandchildren, Brian Wise and Stacy (Rodger) Beirman. Two great grandchildren, Bailey and Gauge.
