Service Details

Norman “Red” Schuler, 75, died on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Mercy Hospital. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Norman was born September 16, 1931 to Joseph and Eunice Schuler in Des Moines. He served in the Army during the Korean War, attended Bethel Open Bible Church, and retired from Western International after 35 years of service.
Norman had many friends and they enjoyed gathering in his garage where they all shared stories and Norman always had a joke.
Norman is survived by his children, Terri (Terry) Stevens and Dan (Cherie) Schuler; grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Cory, Donald, Caitlin, and Michael; great-granddaughter, Autumn; sisters, Norma Schuler and Shirley Andrews; and many nieces; nephews; and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie; son, Michael; sister, Helen Clark; brothers, Donald and Jack Schuler; and parents, Joseph and Eunice Schuler.
