Robert Merle Quick, 95, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Bob was born August 13, 1918 in Des Moines, Iowa to Merle and Gloria Quick. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob was an avid golfer, often playing in the city tournament in the 50’s and 60’s. He fished in his younger days and bowled, with his wife Betty, for most of his life.
Bob is survived by his son, Ron (Gloria) Quick of Des Moines; son, Denny (Chelsa) Quick of Johnston; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty and parents.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown or the Alzheimer’s Association.

I worked with Bob many years ago
when we both worked at Bankers Life,played golf many times together
and remember him walking the fairway with a cigarello in his mouth.
I have many fond memories of Bob even though not seeing him
in so many years.

We rejoice in the wonderful life Bob had. Wonderful memories for your family. So glad we made that trip, Ron, from MO to IA and got to meet all the family. May he rest in peace in the hands of God.
