Joyce Loretta Wilson, 61, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Baxter Health Care Center in Baxter, Iowa.
Joyce was born May 10, 1952 in Mexico, Missouri to Frank and Edna (Fugate) Mozee. Joyce was the life of the party! She loved everyone and always had a smile on her face. She loved her family and welcomed everyone with open arms. Joyce enjoyed music and loved to walk around town. She was a hard worker, always taking care of her family. Joyce was a warm, loveable person who will be missed by all who knew her.
Joyce is survived by her father, Frank Mozee; children: John C. Mozee Sr. of Des Moines, Val Wilson Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and Valiska Wilson Webster (Prince) of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Frank Mozee Sr. of Indiana, Sherry B. Bragg (Malcolm) of Moberly, MO, Helen L. Antonio (Maurice), Connie L. Dameron (Roger), Evon L. Robinson (Byron), and Mary E. Mozee - all of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mozee; husband, Val Gene Wilson; son, Jerome L. Mozee; and four brothers: Donald, Ronald, James, and Phillip Mozee.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 3415 3rd Street with Pastor Cheatom presiding, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.

One night a woman had a dream.She dreamed she was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from her life, for each scene, she noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to her and the other belonged to the LORD. When the last scene of her life flashed before her, she looked back at the footprints in the sand. She noticed that many times along the path of her life there was only one set of footprints. She also noticed that it happened at the very lowest time in her life. This really bothered her and she questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.But I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, Ther was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me. THE LORD replied' My precious, precious child, I lone you and would never leave you, during your times of trial and suffering, when you see one set of footprints,it was then that I carried you.THIS IS DEDICATED TO MY OLDEST SISTER! JOYCE LORETTA WILSON THE LORD GOT TIRED OF SEEING YOU IN PAIN AND SUFFERING, SO THEN HE CARRIED YOU TO A BETTER PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO PAIN OR SUFFERING . YOUR BODY MAY BE GONE BUT YOUR SOUL IS STILL HERE, AND YOU WILL ALWAYS REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS YOUR SISTER

My Big Sis, many opinions fly but none can tell it like the memories we shared while we walked, talked, cried and laughed together, we had a TRUE sisterly bond till death did us part with the survivor holding the key to the memories,I've always admired the strength in Joyce to shun foolishness and say I wanna go to Christ Apostolic Temple to hear Bishop Reed. She LOVED going to church with me,this is something I will always cherish and it was such an honor that my big sis would be ready before I was to go to church with me,Thank you Jesus for the time you allowed us Joyce,Love Helen,Maurice and Mike

Our sincere condolences and love to the family. Joyce was one in a million with a heart of gold. She would do anything that she could for you. Joyce truly loved her children and family. I will miss her pretty "Smile". God is picking his pretty flowers for his eternal garden for which she will reside with her smile. Let us All remember to keep Joyce in our thoughts and heart. She is no longer suffering for she is healed. Thank God. We All Love you Joyce.

Father, I have worked so hard, and gave my all. In my soul and heart, I've found a place to rest. But in you andi have not entered into yet. There's an ability to rest in your presence that I've not found.touch me oh Lord to seek you wroth all my soul and heart,so I can find your rest.Thank you Lord for calling me to my season of rest. I now join my parents,son, my husband,and brothers.so I am here to learn as you,Lord teach me how to rest.

Joyce "Mama" was a fantastic & loving woman! We at Baxter Healthcare Center are so blessed to have had her as part of our family. She had a wonderful laugh, sparkling eyes, a "tell it like it is" fearlessness and an unconquerable spirit! She will be dearly missed by all of us. Thank you for letting us be a part of her life and yours!
