Jimmy Dunbar

Jimmy “Big Jim” Dunbar, 56, of Des Moines died on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Hospice Kavanagh on Grand from complications of a stroke. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Indianola Heights Christian Church.
Jim was a bartender and manager as well as a semi driver and taxi driver. He was an excellent pool player and also enjoyed fishing, golfing and cooking.
He is survived by his mother Betty Brickman-Banta of Des Moines, his brothers Don Dunbar of Florida and Dennis Dunbar of Kansas, his step-sisters Mary Brickman, Nancy Stanbrough and Linda Banta-Henry as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Kavanagh on Grand.
