Jeff Gonder

Jeff Gonder, 50, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in Des Moines. The funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines. Visitation will be 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 also at Hamilton’s Funeral Home..
Jeff was born February 8, 1957. He attended East High School. He currently worked at The Marriott in Des Moines as their engineering supervisor.
Jeff enjoyed fishing, canoeing in the Boundary Waters, hunting, cooking, golf, flying airplanes, skydiving, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He was always known to lend a helping hand to anyone, and with his contagious smile and giggle lovingly received his nickname “Chuckles” from his friends.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Zona Johnson; his sisters, Diane Johnson and Allie Ganoe; his brother Greg Johnson; his niece, nephews, other family members, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Agnes and V. Casey Gonder; & fiancée, Jane Postier.
