Frederick “Chuck” Utter, passed on to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, January 10, 2014. He was born January 28, 1945, to Fred and Blanche Utter.
He retired from Polk County Sheriff’s Department. Chuck loved the outdoors, hunting, training dogs and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Brenda (Scott) Miller and Wendy (Thomas) Clark; son, Charles Utter; as well as nine grandchildren.
Public Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.
Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

My sincere sympathies go out to Chuck's family. I am one of his cousins on his mothers side and have not see Chuck or his family in probably more than 35 years as I live in another state. I am also much younger so I never was able to keep in touch and just happened to be doing a search on distant family. My prayers go to his family at this time of loss. Rod Cummins
