Jon Balduchi

Jon J. Balduchi, 68, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014.

Jon was born on October 24, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa to Kenneth and Bea (Baker) Balduchi. He was a lifelong Des Moines resident and a graduate of East High School. Jon was a familiar fixture in downtown Des Moines due to his job as a courier with Des Moines Blueprint. He always had a smile and a positive word to share. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him. He never met anyone he didn’t like, and there was never anyone he met who didn’t like him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved to fish.

Jon is survived by his children, Kenneth G. Balduchi and Teresa (Jamie) Finken; two grandchildren; father, Kenneth C. Balduchi; and siblings, Ellen Kaldenberg, Jim (Helen) Balduchi, and Kent (Lisa) Balduchi.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bea Balduchi and brothers, Bill and Mark Balduchi.

Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, also at the funeral home.
