Janet K. Webster

Jan K. Webster, 68, of Ankeny, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. She passed away at her home.

Jan was born on June 5, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Kathleen Bilbrey. She married Claude Webster on April 1, 1967, in Des Moines. Claude survives along with their two children, Eric of Panora and Brian of Marina Del Rey, California; and 6 grandchildren, Charlie, Chance, Sam and Chloe of Panora and Avignon and Coltrane of Marina Del Rey. Jan is also survived by her mother, two sisters; Ruth Jordal and Jackie Van Ahn and her brother Jeff Bilbrey.

During her employment years, she was a dental assistant, a sales manager for Coppercraft of Taunton, Mass. and then operated her own collection agency for over 25 years. She was a very compassionate and giving person always putting others first. She fought a long battle with digestive diseases for many years.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A private burial service will be held at the West Jersey, Illinois, cemetery near the Webster family farm during the next week.
