Katie Bunce

Katie R. Bunce, 84, went home to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was born June 17, 1929 in Des Moines to Agnes and Alfred Reiter. She worked for Riverview Care Center of over 30 years as a Medical Aide and also raised seven children.

Katie is survived by three daughters, Diane Grylls, Brenda McCuen (Bill) and Karen Liles (Ron); two sons, Grant Bunce (Max) and Robert Bunce (Sharon). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four children, Rebecca, Patricia, Robert and Katie; her husband, Robert G. Bunce; her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, also at the funeral home. Burial will occur at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
