Stephen E. Pullman, 61, formally of Spokane, WA, passed away peacefully December 30, 2013 at home surrounded by his family.

Stephen was born November 25, 1952 in Havre, Montana to George and Beverly (Fawuer) Pullman. He proudly served in the United States Army and was employed by Thrasher Hardware as a salesman. Coming from Washington state where he saw mostly pine trees, he appreciated the diversity in the trees and the countryside. He looked forward each year to the return of the eagles. Stephen had a legendary HotWheels car collection numbering over 500!

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; daughter, Renee; sons, Matthew (Dana) and Robert; four grandchildren, Kenadee, Joseph, Joshua, and Chance; parents, George and Beverly; brother, Terry; nieces and nephews, Jodi, Jon, Zach, Megan, Emily, and Adrian; and his dog, Madee.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carla Pullman.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will occur at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
