Doris Doornenbal

Doris Louise Doornenbal, 74, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. She was born May 17, 1933 to Virginia and Otto Anderson in Des Moines. Doris was a East High School graduate. She worked at Relia Star for many years until her retirement. Doris enjoyed sitting in her backyard with her dog “Lady”. But the love of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed being with her family.
Doris is survived by her sons, Jeff of Des Moines, Mark (Sandra) of Pontiac, Illinois, David (Reenie) of Des Moines and Dan (Cindi) of Ankeny; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her sisters, Phyllis Nicholson and Joanie Anderson; her brother, Ronald Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
