Connie Geiger, 74, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. She was born May 27, 1939 to Jeppe and Anna Larsen in Primghar, Iowa.
Connie was a devoted and enthusiastic hockey mom who touched the lives of many through her support and nurturing of youth hockey in Des Moines. She was a school teacher in her younger years, worked with the Valley Junction Foundation and enjoyed volunteering for many organizations throughout her community. She was also a lover of crafts and creativity.
She is survived by her sons, Kyle (Connie M.) Geiger and Scott Geiger. Connie was preceded in death by her loving parents.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in loving memory of Connie. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Scott and Kyle, I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. All the hours we all spent at the Ice Arena and all the trips we took together, I felt that we were all one big family. Her laugh was infectious and I can still hear that laugh. Remember all the good times. May peace be with you and your families during this difficult time.

Scott and Kyle, Your mom and I were like sisters in our growing up years...time and distance drew us apart, but even after all these years we still exchanged Christmas presents and talked each holiday season. Your mom could always make me laugh, and I so enjoyed our conversations. Linda
