Anne Rainer

Anne M. Rainer, 67, was born May 6, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa, and passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Des Moines.

Anne was adopted by Arthur and Maurine Augustine. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School, lived most of her life in the Des Moines area, and she was a member of Highland Park Church of the Nazarene. Anne worked at KFC on Hubbell Avenue for 10 years and was previously head housekeeper at Motel 6.

Anne, also called ‘Mom’ by many, always made people smile or laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anne is survived by her children, Jonathan (Sonia) Augustine of Des Moines, Robin Rainer of Des Moines, and James Rainer of Ft. Dodge; grandchildren, Amanda (Haley) Sage of Des Moines, Kaylee Augustine of Murrieta, CA; Darryl Miller II of Ankeny; Eric Rainer of Ankeny, Steven Schroeder of Des Moines, Katarina Rainer of Waterloo, Khloe Sawyer of Des Moines, and Dillon Rainer of Cameron, MO; as well as her brother, Alan Augustine of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013, at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, 4335 NW 6th Avenue. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
