Jacob "Jake" Spurlock

Jacob “Jake” Lee Spurlock, 38, was born on December 10, 1975. He passed away on December 25, 2013.

Jake wore his heart on his sleeve, when you were down he would pick you up. Jake charmed everyone with his ornery, jokester sense of humor and his blue eyes. His hobbies were fixing things, playing poker, having numerous toys, making people laugh and smile. You name it, Jake had it – motorcycles, bikes, four wheelers, electronics, etc. He had the best of the best. Jake could turn nothing into something BIG. He will truly be missed by everyone.

Jake is survived by his girlfriend, Crystal Sikes; the “girls”, Stevie and Charli; father, Carl Spurlock; grandmother, Lorraine Cole; grandfather, Waymon Spurlock; sister, Amber Joss (Richie Osborne); nephews, AJ and Dillon; uncles, Terry Ritter and Jimmy Spurlock; aunt, Jan Spurlock; cousins, Michelle and Gina; and many loving friends.

Jake was greeted in heaven by his mother, Linda Spurlock, whom he had missed so very much. He was also greeted by his grandfather, William Cole; grandmother, Shirley “Nana” Spurlock and his beloved dog and “kid”, Zeus.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29 at the funeral home.
