Irene Patrick

Irene Patrick, 81, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at her home.
Irene was born in Warren County, Iowa the youngest of five children born to Maymie and T.S. Davidson. She grew up and lived her life in East Des Moines.
Irene married Blaine Patrick on June 9, 1945 at Ft. Benning, Georgia and they enjoyed 52 years of loving companionship. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers for over 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, reading, gardening, bowling and sharing time with family and friends. She was a member of Grant Park Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, Bennie (Linda) Patrick of Des Moines, daughter, Becky (Pat Heeney) Patrick of Coalmont, Colorado, grandsons, Bennie (Johnie) Patrick of Elizabeth, Colorado, Jeff (Tracy) Patrick, Chris (Barbara Burn) Patrick of Des Moines and Nick Fettkether of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, great granddaughters, Kelsie and Nicole Patrick, great grandsons, Steven, Jacob, Devin and Hunter Patrick and nieces, nephews and her best friend, John Netherow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine and her siblings, a granddaughter, Patricia Patrick and grandson, Kelly Fettkether.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contribution may be made to Taylor Hospice House.
