Grace Morain

Grace Morain, 98, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her home in Des Moines.

Grace was born August 9, 1915 in Polk County, Iowa to William and Maggie (Stewart) Hayes. She lived for a time in Sioux City, Bettendorf, Ottumwa, and Jefferson, Iowa, before settling in the Des Moines area in 1965. She was married to Kenneth E. Morain, who precedes her in death. In addition to her husband, Grace joins her four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Calvin Community, 4201 Hickman Road, Des Moines. Entombment will occur Friday, December 27, at 10:00 a.m., at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines.
