Service Details
Cara Ann Nelson, 34, was born September 30, 1979, in Des Moines, the daughter of Randy and Lauri Nelson. She passed away December 20, 2013, in Des Moines.
Cara graduated from Southeast Polk High School and received an AA in Criminal Justice at Hamilton Business College. She was employed at Cleaning Connection and enjoyed cleaning very much. Cara also enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her family and friends.
Cara is survived by her parents, Randy and Lauri Nelson; children, Hailey Jane and Draven Michael; brother, Cody (Lacey) Nelson; and maternal grandparents, Bob (Beverly) Merkle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends
Cara is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wayne and Geri Nelson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Runnells Christian Church, 309 Brown Street, Runnells. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to family for her children in loving memory of Cara.

Though I only knew Cara for a short time, I know she Loved her family. She talked about her daughter, Jane and son, Draven all the time. I pray for them as they go through this very difficult time. She was a beautiful person, with a bright beautiful smile. She will be missed by all who knew her. RIP Cara.

Cara you were like a big sister when I was little! I always followed my big sister April to your house and you would put my hair up and your family always took me along.
