John Fisher, 76, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013. He was born August 28, 1937 to Charles and Mary Fisher in Des Moines, Iowa.
John owned Fisher Sign Company where he started as a young teenager with his father Charlie and continued until retirement in his 60's. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also member of both Old Iron Tractor Club and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.
He is survived by his daughters, Jina Young, Janis Fisher and Joni (Aaron) McLees; son, John Fisher; sister, Carolyn McKeown; brothers, Russ Fisher and Ed Fisher; grandchildren, Chad and Brad Stover, Joshua Mann, Jesse Perez, Joey and Patrick Fisher, Macey McLees great-grandchildren, Victoria, MacKenzie, Emma, Christian, Jonah, Jordan and Caleb.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Suzan; son, Charles; brother, Bill; sister, Marilyn; and grandson Ezra.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of John.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. His Sister Marilyn & I grew up together and sadly we lost her many years ago.. My thought and prayers are with John's Family..

John (Bubs), Joni, Janice and Jina - I am saddened to hear of the loss of your dad. He was such a good man. I will never forget some of the wonderful times that we had. I will always remember him and his laugh.
