Mary Alice Beeman

Mary Alice (Wheeler) Beeman was born March 14, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Fern (Shupe) and Wilton Wheeler. She was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. Mary was a proud and devout Christian, constantly sharing her faith with others. She lived to spread the word of God. She loved music and enjoyed singing. Mary took pride in her family. She loved them unconditionally and surrounded herself with their love. She enjoyed nothing better than spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a warm and fun-loving person who loved her “bling” and big cars.

Mary passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Park Ridge Care Center in Pleasant Hill at the age of 82.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Jack) Cook and sons, Michael (Tina), Jim (Cindy), Dan, David (Michelle) and Steve (Brenda) Beeman. She is also survived by 22 loving grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Robert Beeman; her parents; son, Johnny Beeman; daughter, Judy Allbee; grandson, Ronnie Beeman; brothers, Wilton and Harold Wheeler; and sisters, Leona Wilson and Maxine Croy.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21 at Heritage Assembly of God Church, 5051 NE 5th Street, Des Moines.
