Linda Lee Auch

Linda Lee Auch of Des Moines passed away at the age of 68 on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Taylor House Hospice. After a long and heroic fight with her health, she was finally able to close her eyes and drift off peacefully to her eternal rest with all of her family by her side.

Linda was born December 2, 1945 in Princeton, Missouri to mother, Ruby and father, Clayton Keller. They settled in Des Moines where she had her four children. Later, she married Duane Auch and had her fifth child. Without a doubt, Linda’s proudest achievement was her role as a mother. She loved each and every one of her five children unconditionally.

Linda was loved by many and leaves behind people who have been touched by her quiet voice, her beautiful blue eyes, her quick wit and her ornery nature. She will be missed by so many loved ones, but especially by her children and grandchildren. Family was always first with her and she instilled that into each of her children.

Linda is survived by her children: Vicki Hemry and her partner, Russ, Michael (Mynde) Auch, Terri (Jack) Kimmel, and Tina (Eric) Vanzee, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Clayton of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby VanderPool and her youngest son, Billy Auch. We, her family, know that Linda is in a much better place and has already found her way back to her beloved and adoring son.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
