Marie Grzybowski

After 88 years, Jesus called my mom to be with Him. We are thankful for the time we loved and shared together. Marie Ann Niemiec was born on July 15, 1925, in Dupont, Pennsylvania, to Antonia Paczkowski and Joseph Niemiec. She married the late Michael Vincent Grzybowski on July 17, 1947, and enjoyed a rich, fulfilling life with him in Chicago, Illinois and Ft. Wayne, Indiana. A dedicated homemaker, Marie is mourned by her daughter, Rosemarie Kroscher (Charles), and her loving grandchildren, Amy Bingaman (Albert), Tara DuBois (Donald), and Charles Kroscher (Jessica). She rejoiced in her great-grandchildren: Denzel, Alexander, Zachary, and Natalie Marie Bingaman, and Michael DuBois. Her special nephew and niece, who she helped raise to adulthood, also mourn her passing: Joseph Patrick Niemiec (Candy) and Renee Bornkamp.

Marie was pre-deceased by sisters Dorothy Wrazien, Lucille Pavco, and Kay Rheinschmidt; and by brothers Frank, Joseph, and Vincent Niemiec, and Alfred Bryk.

She died suddenly in Des Moines, Iowa on December 13, 2013. We will celebrate her rich and full life at a ceremony in Chicago in the spring, with a Mass of Resurrection. Her ashes will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois, next to her beloved husband, Mike.
