Roy H. Reece

Roy Harold Reece, 87, died peacefully December 12, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines, with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Roy was born November 24, 1926 to Grace and Oscar Reece in Dallas County, Iowa. He joined the United States Navy and served from 1948 until his discharge in 1952. He then worked as an engineer for the Des Moines Public Schools.

Roy is survived by his son, Dan of Tampa, Florida; along with many other loving family and friends.
