Tad Fetters
December 08, 2013
Tad “T.P.” Lee Fetters, left us on his final hunt for the “Big Buck” on December 8, 2013 in Chariton, Iowa of a heart attack while hunting with his friends.
Tad enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, horses, and most of all he loved life. Spending his time with his children, family, and friends was most important. He enjoyed grilling (BBQ) which lead to the job he loved so much at Smokey D’s in Des Moines.
Tad was born to Randy Lee Fetters and Sally Renee Williams-Fetters on November 22, 1978 in Iowa City. He is survived by his parents: Randy (Mary) Fetters, Sally Renee Hildreth, and Gene Hildreth; his longtime partner, Mendy Bakerrink; his children: Shelby, Trevor, and Marissa Fetters, and Jared Schiebout; his brothers and sisters: Tyler (Amber) Fetters, ReGina (Nick) Andrews, Miranda (Rodney) Fetters, Maggie (Barney) McCuen, Matt (Amanda) Briggs, and Jennifer Hildreth; his grandparents: John Grummon, and Sally and Jerry McIntyre; his aunts and uncles: Frank and Betty Davis (his second parents), Cindy (Charlie) Funk, Melvin Alford, Scott (Iva) Williams, Bruce (Tanya) Grummon, Marshall (Diane) Hildreth, Glen Hildreth, Monty (Linda) Hildreth and Susan (Dan) Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his special “Grandma Pat” and “Aunt Linda Smith”.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Doris and Chuck Richmond, and Glenn and Daisy Hildreth.
Family will greet friends and family Thursday, December 12 from 6:00 — 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines. Burial will follow in the spring of 2014 at Woodland Cemetery in Iowa Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Tad.

I only met Tad a couple of times, but he seemed like a good guy with a great heart. It was easy to tell how much he loved and lived for his family. My heart and prayers go out to them. And to Tyler, I know this was a great loss for you, I hope you can find peace in knowing that Tad has gone to a better place. We will always see our loved ones again someday.

Thinking of you all at this very sad time (we lost Clinton one year ago) . . . . . . Yes, it's very difficult, you never get over it, but we do live through it. God be with you.
