Bear is the best person I will ever have the pleasure of meeting. People like him just don't exist anymore. They come around once in a lifetime. Someone who is truly compassionate and caring. Someone who cared more for the well being of others than he did for himself. There were so many things I had to thank him for, and I am so saddened that I did not have the chance while he was with us. My heart is truly breaking for the loss of this inspiring individual. If there is one thing Bear taught me, it is to pay it forward. To give to others more than you take for yourself. To never pass up the chance to give someone a smile. Although he is gone, I know that his kind spirit will continue to live on in the memories and hearts of those of us lucky enough to call him a friend. I love you Bear. I will miss you always.

I grew up with johonny and his sister heather. I remember all the fun birthday parties. All I remember is smiles and laughing and playing. johnny known as bear was a kind caring person. If you needed help he would give even if he didnt have. and he was very protective. It wouldnt be a good idea to let him know the person that hurt you. Bear was always willing and very helpful. He has a big heart and he would releave you of burdens. I know he was always appreciated. Most people cannot handle what was light for him. I belive thats one reason he got the name bear. I love you bear.

The world lost a good person when it lost Bear last week. Although you were not with us for long, your life made a huge impact on so many people. You have been a source of kindness and compassion to all and we hope that kindness and compassion will continue forth in your memory. Thank you for making our days brighter while you lived with us. You will be missed.

Jonathan, my second born, my first son, known to the world as "Bear". My son would give a stranger the shirt off his back and not think nothing of it. He always had a smile and a joke or prank in the works. Everything he did in life he gave his all and then some. He would walk across town to make sure i was ok and then walk back. He loved his mamas cooking and loved bring back with him his mama bags of leftovers. No matter who he came across he tried to get them to smile and feel better even when he wasnt feeling well himself. I dont know what Im going to do without my son, my heart is broke. R.I.P. Bear, we love and miss you! I wish R.I.P. meant return if possible! Love, mama, Dakota and Gia!

Bear was a great friend of mine. One of the best people there was. I'd lived with him at the YMCA Supportive Housing Campus for a while and maintained contact with him after I moved out. He was one of the people that could make you smile, no matter how your day was going. Even if his wasn't going too well, he pushed through that to make sure everyone around him was smiling and laughing. I'm proud to call him a friend, and even looked up to him like an older brother. My condolences are with his family, and may he rest peacefully, and happily where ever he rests. I will always love you, Brother Bear.

I lived with Bear at the Y Supportive Housing Campus. I considered Bear to be a very special friend. I will miss his kindness and laughter. Please accept my condolences for your loss...Know that Bear was loved and will truly be missed. God needed Bear so He took him home to live with Him in eternity, peacefully and forever...
