Dominic Rizzuti

Dominic Nicholas Rizzuti, 89, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Prime Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Dominic was born January 1, 1924 in Des Moines to Frank and Ermelinda Rizzuti. He is a veteran of the US Navy. Dominic worked for Solar Air Craft and later retired from the Department of Revenue where he had been a supervisor for many years. He was a handyman and could fix anything. Dominic enjoyed having coffee at Dahls, playing cards, gardening and watching football.

Dominic is survived by his children, Frank (Nancy) Rizzuti, Linda (Rick) Wells and Angela (Bruce) Hughes; sister, Katie (Louie) Juliano; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Angie. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
