Franklin Halterman

Frank Halterman was born April 25, 1941. He passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, at UnityPoint Health Des Moines Methodist after a long battle with cancer. He took great pride in being a concrete finisher. Frank is lovingly remembered by his wife, Esther (Henderson); daughters, Tricia Hildebrand and Tammi Zavardino; grandchildren, Joselyn and Aric; brother, Richard Halterman; sisters, LaRae Gruening (Fred) and Anita Worthington; favorite sister-in-law, Carolyn Plumb; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Halterman; father, Richard Halterman; grandfather, William Ford; and grandmother, Gertrude Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to purchase a lightpole at the Iowa State Fair in loving memory of Frank.
