Mark Andrew Harvey

Mark Andrew Harvey, 56, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his home.

Mark was born August 22, 1957 in Des Moines to Gerald and Shirley (Jones) Harvey. He graduated from Van Meter Community School. Mark proudly served eight years in the US Army as a Ranger. He was a Journeyman Bricklayer and a member of International Association of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman.

Mark is survived by his wife, Dawn; his son, Marcel (Aleyce) Harvey; his daughters, Victoria (John) Zogby, Amber (Josh) Foss and Jessica (Shawn) Dole; his siblings, Franci (Steve) Finney, Jodine (Gary) Smith, Doug (Dawn) Harvey, Sue (Tom) Hutzell and Trudy (Steven) Parrott; and six grandchildren. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Shirley Harvey; his brother, Gary Glen Harvey; and sister, Betty Harvey.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1195 Prairieview Avenue, Van Meter, Iowa. Christian Burial with military honors will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:45 am Saturday, also at the Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project, Hope in Transit or HCI.
