Frances M. Baker

Frances M. Baker, 97, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on November 10, 1916 in North Liberty, Iowa to Frank and Frances Fisher and grew up on a farm near North Liberty. Frances was the last survivor of 13 children.

She was a loving and giving person. Frances enjoyed all social activities with her family and friends. She had a passion for fishing and continued to fish right up to just weeks before her death. Frances will be remembered for her unconditional love of her family and friends.

Frances is survived by her children, Jeanne (Herb) Pearson, Sandra Cunningham and William Larmier; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, granddaughter, eight sisters; and four brothers.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, November 26, 2013 beginning at 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
