Service Details
As of November 18, 2013, Heaven has a new resident. LeRoy Alexander is now in Glory with his Heavenly Father. LeRoy was born May 3, 1919, in Tingley, IA.
After an honorable discharge from the Air Force where he was stationed in England during WWII, he married Louise Ferree. They moved to Des Moines, where they raised their three children. LeRoy attended Community Baptist Church in Ankeny.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Louise; son, Ronald (Donna) Alexander of Vail, AZ; daughter, Maureen (John) Wooden of Milwaukee, WI; and son, Tom (Connie) Alexander of Des Moines. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., with a 9:30 a.m. service, on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

Many memories of LeRoy growing up at Grandview. He was my Sunday School teacher and a fine example. We were all family at Grandview and someday, soon, we will all be reunited again!
