Phyllis Tideback

Phyllis Tideback, 78, passed away November 15, 2013, at UnityPoint Lutheran Hospital.

Phyllis was born July 29, 1935, in Des Moines. She graduated from East High School. Phyllis retired from Days Inn and from Friskys Pizza. She enjoyed gardening, her neighbors, many of whom became close friends, and talking politics, but most of all she loved being with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven (Judy) Blanchard, Linda (Tony) Punelli, Patrick (Jackie) Tideback, Craig (Sherry) Tideback; her grandchildren, Steven J. Blanchard, Nicholas (Flavia) Blanchard, Mitchell Blanchard, Jessica (Tony) Ekman, Chelsea Tideback Coop; her sister, Gertrude Glider; many nieces and nephews; and her cousin, Jerry (Carol) Brubaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, her beloved husband, William Jr., and her son, Scott Tideback.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
