Jeanette McKee

Jeanette, 79, passed away Thursday, November 14, 3013. She was born June 18, 1934, to Russell G. and Helen (Losee) McKee in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jeanette was a fashion diva – from her clothing to her hair, everything had to be perfect at all times. She had such a love for singing whether it was karaoke or caroling, her voice was unforgettable. Jeanette enjoyed shopping, going to church, and spending time with children and animals. Her greatest attribute of all was how important life and the people around you really are. She had a way of loving and caring for everyone around her.

She is survived by her sister, Elnora (Skip) Albright; brother, Jack (Susan) Riley; dear friend, Nicky Wynne; and her many friends at Mosaic Group Home.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; grandma Losee; and brothers, Dusty Riley and Terry Minor.

A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2013, at Pine Hill Cemetery, 524 NW 54th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
