News traveled quickly to Georgia about the passing of our beloved Iris Talton. It made me sit and reflect on the amazing woman that she was. All I could do was think back to my childhood. Iris (or Aunt Iris to most of us), always had her home open for us kids. If it was to play football in her yard on Allison or needing a ride to Little All American football or needing to know where you were in the batting lineup at University Little League, you always knew, she was there and cared about you. It's been years but I can still hear her laugh and see her smile. It makes me smile through the tears just thinking about it. I always felt that if you needed something and she had it...it was yours. While saddened by her mortal ending, we can all be comforted to know, that we have another angel looking over us in heaven. I didn't get to see a lot of Aunt Iris over the last 10 years but she was one of the "family village" that looked over us kids. She helped mold me into the person I am today. I cannot express the thanks enough to show my appreciation other than, Thank you Aunt Iris! I love you and you will be missed. Uncle Dave, TJ, DeMarco and Julie, we pray for you to have strength and courage at this difficult time.
