Sandra "Sandie" Schwebke

Sandra “Sandie” Schwebke, of Des Moines, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013, at her home, with her loving family by her side. Sandie was born on September 24, 1944, in Chicago, IL, to Lila (Yoakum) and Marion Rankin.

Sandie lived most of her life in Des Moines. She worked for K Mart for 25 years before becoming the office receptionist at Crescent Chevrolet. Sandie also volunteered in the military records dept. at Fort Des Moines. She was very compassionate and supportive. Sandie enjoyed cooking and baking. She lived her life with grace and dignity. Sandie was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Sandie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Ronald; children, Kimberly Daniels and Brian Daniels; granddaughter, Taylor Daniels; step-daughter, Stephanie Reyes; brothers, Gary Kephart and Jack Bosley; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2013, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5615 SW 14th Street, with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
