Ronald Reed, Jr.

Ronald Reed, Jr., 49, died at home, Monday, July 30, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ron was born November 19, 1957 in Des Moines. He was a life long Des Moines resident. Ronald was a truck driver for City Supply Corp for 18 years and also drove for Sealy Mattress Factory. He was a member of the pit crew for Davis Racing and an avid racing fan.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Shan Reed; children, Robyn, Andy, “Big” Amanda, “Little” Amanda, “Pee Wee” and Samantha; his mother, Joann Rose; stepmother, Marilyn Hutchinson; brother, Donnie (Jennifer) Sparks; sisters, Brenda (Jim) Todd, Cindy (Dan) Miller and Ruth (David) Hunter; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Reed, Sr. and his son, Quentin Reed.
