Melody Brown

Melody Myers Brown, 46, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, at Hospice Taylor House, from complications of a heart attack. She was born December 7, 1966, in Des Moines, the daughter of Robert Myers and Penny Myers.
Melody was a fun-loving person with a great smile, an awesome laugh, and a heart of gold. She had the most beautiful blue eyes. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Melody was a good listener, a natural care giver, and the glue of her family. She enjoyed camping, watching her favorite TV shows (Blue Bloods, Kelly & Michael, The Voice), playing board games/cards, going to sporting events, and she loved to cook and bake.
Melody is survived by her three children, Myles, Mason, and Markee; father, Ed (Nancy) Myers; mother, Penny Myers; brothers Eddie (Janet) Myers and Scott (Molly) Myers; sister, Michele Myers; four nephews, Cole Myers, Cory Myers, Nic Graziano, and Eddie Myers; two nieces, Codee Myers and Avery Myers; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and niece, Marissa.
Memorial Services will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Friends may visit with family two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family in loving memory of Melody.

Mel, you were such a great person, always smiling and making others happy to be with you and around you. You have always been a big part in our lives, you watched me and Joey grow up. We love you so much. God gained an angel and you will truly be missed. Love you and rest in peace.
