Rose Marie Peiffer was called to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on All Saints’ Day, November 1, 2013.

Rose was born on January 12, 1931, in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Homer and Irene Wallerich. She graduated as Valedictorian from Keota High School in 1948. She met the love of her life, Harold Peiffer, while roller skating and they were married September 6, 1950. Rose had a strong faith and was a member of Christ the King Parish for 54 years. She also enjoyed attending Mass at Mercy Chapel in recent years. She was a talented artist in everything she did whether that was painting, decorating cakes, gardening or sewing, but her proudest accomplishments in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Wallerich.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Harold; her children, Doug (Janet) Peiffer, David Peiffer, Brenda Flinn, Mike (Terri) Peiffer, Karen (Jim) Broich, Bev (Al) Kaas and Bryan (Erin) Peiffer; grandchildren, Cory (Angie) Flinn, Heather (Jason) Van Essen, Scott (Dana) Flinn, Stacy (Paul) Sargent, Adam (Ellen) Broich, Missy (Adam) Veasman, Abbey (Adam) Moehn, Dan Broich, Jessica (Chris) Peters, Rebecca Broich, Andrew Peiffer, Anna Kaas, Evan Peiffer, Peter Kaas, Jacob Peiffer, Matthew Peiffer and Katherine Peiffer; great-grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Makenna, Luke, Adeline, Amelia, Tate, Elsie, Sydney, Sophie and August; siblings, Russell Wallerich, Keith (Jeannie) Wallerich, Jeanine (Harold) Hall, Melvin (Barb) Wallerich, Rita Harnish, Ted Wallerich, Barbara (Don) Soutter, Susie (Dick) Sheaffer, Ronnie (Annette) Wallerich and Linda (Mike) Forrett; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th St. followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St.
