Iris (Kay) Niffenegger

Iris Kay Burcell Niffenegger, 71, was born March 3, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Edgar and Ethel Carlson. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Kavanagh House on 56th. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30am Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Kay is survived by her husband, Robert D. Niffenegger; daughters, Julie Lang, Jill Nucaro, and Jackie Niffenegger-Widmer; eight grandchildren and sister, Pat West. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited from 6-6:15 p.m.
