Donald Nelson Bidwell

Donald Nelson Bidwell was born January 5, 1949, in Blue Earth, Minnesota, to Jack and Ruth (Kessler) Bidwell. Don loved spending time with his family and his grandkids. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his own pond. Don served his country in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam. He was a self-employed painter and an animal lover; his best buddy was his dog, Mooker.

Don passed away at his home on Thursday, October 24, 2013, with his loving partner of 30 years, Jan, by his side after a courageous battle with COPD and other health challenges. He was 64 years old.

Don is survived by his daughter, Lynette Larson (Jeff Shipley); grandchildren, Brandon, Haley, Ryan, and Owen Shipley; partner, Janet Stokesbary; two brothers;and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has occurred. A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
