Evelyn Peterson

Evelyn Peterson, 89, passed away at Taylor House Hospice on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.

Evelyn was born on April 4, 1924 in Mitchellville, Iowa to Isaac and Martha Battles. She is survived by her children, Jeannine Wallace, Elizabeth Countryman, Donald R. Peterson II, Myla Peterson and Jenell Peterson, sister, Margery Smith, six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her cats who she loved like family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald R. Peterson, and her daughter, Joline Peterson.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
