Service Details
Wayne Embree, 63, passed away October 11, 2013 in Des Moines, Iowa.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1105 Grand Ave., West Des Moines, on Monday, October 14, 2013, with visitation from 5-7 PM, followed by a brief service. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013, 11:00 AM, at Sellegren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in Red Oak, Iowa.
Wayne was born September 28, 1950, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Bryce and Doris Embree.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to Iowa Hawkeye football games, NASCAR, traveling, and riding his Harley. Wayne had a wonderful sense of humor and it showed in his daily life. He retired in 2012 from Windsor Windows.
He is survived by his wife Donna; mother, Doris Embree; children; Jason (Jennifer) Embree, Melissa Mendez, Cody (Sterling) Embree; and Todd Holland (Meggie Simmons); and grandchildren, Olivia, Alec, Ryan, Mason, and Colin.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Bryce Embree, and son, Jeff Embree.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the family, who will later direct them toward John Stoddard Cancer Center.

Dear family, I knew Wayne from delivering to Lancer Labels for Con-Way Freight. LaDonna went to school with Wayne at Griswold. He was always a very friendly man,and it was a joy to talk with him. Our sincere sympathies to all of you.
