Service Details
Enid Baer was born February 4, 1931, in Indianola, Iowa, to Henry and Grace Baysinger. She passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, at her home.
Enid is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hays and her husband, Louie; sister, Doris Samouris; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Baer; and a host of other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, followed by burial at Sunnyhill Cemetery in Grimes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Prairie Hill Assisted Living, Home Instead Senior Care, and St. Jude Hospice for the wonderful care Enid received.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospice.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a very nice lady who I became friends with at Prairie Hills when my family visited my father. Your mom and I teased each other on a daily basis which we both enjoyed. Her friendship will really be missed. I am glad I was on duty at the fire station and able to come and help Enid.

Nancy so sorry for your loss, I was just thinking about Enid the other day and then I happened upon her obituary. You and Louie are in my thoughts and prayers. I will truly miss your mom. Take care and if you need anything let me know.

So sorry for your loss. Your mom and I were friends years back - we went our own ways and lost track. Enid and I had some good memories, she was a lovely lady. She is in good hands now. God bless.
