Judy K. Steele, 69, is now at peace. She was born on January 17, 1944 in Des Moines to George and Nina (West) Robinson. Judy married Don Steele on December 2, 1977 in Des Moines. She was a homemaker and in later years, worked as an accountant for Sutherland’s Lumber and Leechman Lumber.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-infancy, Robin Renae.
Judy is survived by her husband, Don; children, Kelly, Karey and Dana; stepchildren, Lorrie and Donnie; grandchildren, Angela, Nicholas, McKenzie, Coty, Zachary, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Keiyonna, Paris, Chole and Dmario; brothers, Bobby and Bill; sister, Mary Ann; and many relatives and close friends.
Family will greet friends from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, also at Hamilton’s.

I will miss you Aunt Judy. I know we will never know the whole story, I will never understand... but I do know I loved you! So many good memories... Doll house shopping, our amazing wrapped gifts you would work so hard on, you had the BEST BOWS ever! The BEST homemade Italian salad dressing EVER! All our fun fishing adventures with the family up at clear lake when I was little, and as an adult I close my eyes and can see you laughing next to me as we played our favorite penny machines and you wanted to know all Dalton and Payton's new funny stories and adventures. You were so artistic from your creative painting jobs, all my throw pillows we worked on, our earring foam holders... you will greatly be missed! I will continue to make your homemade lasagna for my family, and you will always be in my heart.

Judy I am going to miss your strong and fiesty personality, I will always feel guilty I didnt check back up on you, I wish I wasnt dealing with drama in my own crazy life that made it hard to get back with you I thought you would walk throughthe door at the shop to get your hair cut and we would catch up on everything again. Im gonna miss you we always had great talks and laughs, sometimes tears you were one of those gals that could do anything a guy could do maybe better.You could have a tough exterior but I know you had alot of love in that big heart of yours.you took good care of Donnie and it wore you down I know you were so tired and lonely and to proud to ask for much help, you did yourbest.R.I.P.old friend I love you and will miss you always
