Margaret H. Porter

Margaret H. Porter, of Altoona and formerly of Naples, FL, Miami, FL, Pittsburgh, PA, and Blairsville, PA, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

She was the wife of the late, Langdon E. Porter, mother of Bruce B. Wedell and step-mother of Linda J. Pinegar, beloved mother in-law of Sue Anne Weddell, beloved grandmother of Eric and Lisa Weddell of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lauren Weddell of Lawrence, KS, and also step-grandmother to four and step-great-grandmother to five.

Internment will be private, and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Altoona Christian Church, 2890 1st Ave. S. in Altoona.

The family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Mercy Foundation in Des Moines, IA.
