Norma Teuber, 77, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at UnityPoint Health Des Moines Methodist. She was born July 15, 1936, in Miller, South Dakota, to Ben and Anna Wheelhouse.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Doug; daughter, Lana (Randy) Young; sons, Scott (Susan) Teuber and Dean (Stacey) Teuber; her beloved grandchildren, Courtney, Brittany, and Rio; and a host of other loving relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Martin; and her sister, Bernice.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at the Altoona Christian Church, 2890 1st Avenue S in Altoona, followed by burial at the Altoona Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Altoona Christian Church.

Doug, Lana, Scott, and Dean, My thoughts and Prayers are with you at this time. Norma was a dear cousin, and always smiling. That is what I remember about her the most, her smile. She is still with you in your heart and through the memories you have of her. God Bless you all.

Sorry to hear of Norma's passing. I remember when she worked with Mom at the City Hall. Mom always enjoyed working with and knowing Norma. When I would stop by there she was always so nice and friendly. I'm sure she will be greatly missed.

Aunt Norma will be greatly missed! I admired her incredible strength even when things are falling apart! She was so good to my Grandma, (her mom). I heard stories over the years on the services to her community in which she lived and that is what God called us to do. I know that God must have needed her with Him now. She will always be in our hearts until we see her again.
